program kids fireThe Environmental Education Foundation (EEF) has been supporting environmental education in the Geneva Lake area for over 25 years. Since 2006, the EEF has financially supported area schools that need assistance in providing Outdoor Education experiences. Tight budgets have cut into the ability of schools to sustain previous levels of funding for Outdoor Education, and some schools have had to scale back or eliminate these wonderful programs. The EEF is willing to financially assist schools in this predicament and preserve Outdoor Education opportunities for students.

Charlotte Peterson was a local resident with a rich history in the Geneva Lake area. In addition to being a school teacher for many years and serving on numerous boards and committees throughout the Geneva Lake Community, she was a great resource on the local history. These grants will keep the spirit of Charlotte alive in a context that she loved—education, the environment, and youth.
